The name of Xiao Sheng Fung represents “welcoming everyone to dine in,” and it also expresses gratitude to residents in Shengfung Vil for their support, care, and love since day one. We are a group of energetic young people who are always optimistic to the future. By prioritizing food safety we as local street food experts emphasized the effort in providing freshly hand-made dishes and played our own part in Shengfung Vil. Under the challenging circumstances, we strive to increase people's satisfaction through our food.

Liao’s Kitchen

Liao’s Kitchen is in Sanduo Shopping District in Kaohsiung. Seeing every customer as our own family, we select exquisite fresh ingredients and make hand-made desserts in traditional methods without using any flavoring essence or artificial food additives. Our goal is to serve delicious and safe desserts for everyone. Regular products include various hand-made steamed bun and biscuits. During national festivals such as the Chinese Lunar New Year, we release French nougat as well as walnut and date candy. Mid-Autumn Festival products are moon cake, yolk pastry, and pineapple cakes; Pastries for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are taro cake with red bean paste and cheesecake with nuts. During Halloween or Christmas, the confections are royal icing and customized cookies.
Besides selling food at fairs at times, DIY dessert lessons for customizing cookies and other sweets for anti-drooling ceremonies or weddings are provided for customers as well.

Dong Shih Fu’s Handmade Mochi

In the summer of 1990, Jian-xin Dong (Dong Shih Fu) came to Taiwan with his grandfather for visiting his family from western Yunnan. e had never anticipated that one day he would become the master Mochi. Dong Shih Fu had learned outstanding mochi-making techniques from Shui-gang Tseng, his teacher and the first person to make Hakka mochi. Burning logs in a Chinese brick oven is the first stage in the process of making mochi. Then, the following preparation process includes fully cooking glutinous rice milk, kneading glutinous dough, and making red bean paste. Finally, mochis are displayed as ceramic works of art for sale on a winnowing sifter. No one can compete with the amount of work Dong Shih Fu has put into mochi over the past two decades. If you visit Sanduo Shopping District, be sure to taste the nostalgic flavor of the mochi created by the master, Dong Shih Fu, and get some souvenirs from Dong Shih Fu's Handmade Mochi.
